About Me
Hello there! My name is Daniel Voicu. I’m a copywriter based in Bucharest, Romania. I’m currently working at HIPPOS.
I’ve worked as a copywriter for MB Dragan, one of the best Romanian interactive agencies, since 2008 until January 2011. Before that, I worked as an editor for Softpedia. I also had a collaboration with OSLiving.com.
I am now working on a project about copywriting and advertising called {Copy:Ro}. You can see its site here: www.adcopy.ro. Feedback is welcome.
A background story? Here it is:
When I was 17 I managed to get an email interview with Eric S. Raymond for Linux Magazine Romania. I’m still proud of it although I would change some questions at this moment. I still have the printed magazine.
I also had a short collaboration with OSLiving.com and helped out in its development. I’ve been involved in open source communities through testing software and translating documentation and programs.
I’m a living music library. I could talk forever about popular or obscure bands. I’ve started playing the harmonica and bass a few months ago.
About the blog
I started this blog in 2007. At first I wanted to make some sort of geeky online magazine but after realising that I don’t have the necessary means and time to continue that, I turned it into my personal blog. My rants and ramblings will go from advertising topics to Linux and some more personal things. It might look like a hotchpotch because I write in Romanian AND English but I prefer writing in both languages.
